Organize Post Ideas![blog planner blog planner & calendar]()
If you’ve been looking for a way to organize or schedule ideas for blog posts, this planner and calendar is for you. It is intended for people who blog as part of their business. But any blogger (newbie or professional) will find it useful. Since we aren’t all organized blogging divas like Janice Person, this blog planner is all laid out for us.
1. Schedule Posts: Instead of having a list of topic ideas, you can assign them to a date on the calendar. As you look ahead you can see which posts need worked on.
2. Track Sharing: Once the post is published, you can cross off which social media platforms you have promoted it to. Create your own system if you share posts multiple times.
3. Topic Prompts: I love that Lynette included observances for the month, week and day. These are great prompts for post ideas. And are excellent for driving search engine traffic for national days. Don’t forget to add # hashtags with the observance terms. Simply do a search on twitter to find the popular words to use.
4. Make It Your Own: If the rows for emails and offers don’t apply to you, create tasks that you want to accomplish to improve or promote your blog. The ones I came up with are
- Blog Comments: I would like to have a goal to leave 5 to 10 comments a week on other blogs. The planner would help me keep track of the ones I completed or if I need to pick up my pace.
- Current Events: If a topic that applies to my blog becomes big news, I can jot it down for that week and start drafting a post.
- Seasons: There are numerous seasonal activities in farming and ranching. They can be added to the calendar for the year to make sure you cover them.
The 2013 Blogging Planner & Calendar is an incredible free download to help organize your blog posts. It starts in this November; so you can get started planning posts right now!
